Brightroots Yoga was born from a simple belief: quality yoga education should be available to every child β not just those near a studio.
Brightroots Yoga was founded by Suchitra Agrawal, a certified children's yoga instructor and lifelong educator who believed one simple thing: every child, regardless of background or zip code, deserves access to the tools that help them feel calm, focused, and strong.
After years of teaching yoga to children in traditional studio settings, Suchitra noticed a gap. The families who needed it most β in parks, in daycares, in underfunded schools β often had no access to quality movement and mindfulness programs.
So instead of waiting for families to come to a studio, Brightroots takes the studio to them. We partner with Parks & Recreation departments, schools, and daycares to deliver professional yoga instruction right where kids already are.
We do this by going directly to the communities we serve β partnering with the institutions that already serve families, bringing certified instructors, proven curriculum, and genuine joy to every class.
Every child deserves quality movement education, regardless of location, school district, or family income. We work with partners to keep programming affordable and reach underserved communities.
Our curriculum is research-backed, age-differentiated, and taught exclusively by certified instructors who specialize in working with children. We hold ourselves to the highest standard.
We strengthen communities by partnering with the organizations that already serve them β Parks & Recs, schools, and daycares. We're collaborators, not competitors.
Kids yoga should be playful, imaginative, and something children genuinely look forward to. Every Brightroots class is designed to be the best part of a child's week.
No fixed studio. We teach at parks, schools, daycares, and community centers β wherever kids already are. No commute, no barriers.
Our curriculum is designed specifically for ages 3β5 and 6β12 β not adult yoga scaled down. Shorter sequences, storytelling, games, and age-appropriate language.
Every element of our curriculum is grounded in peer-reviewed research on childhood development, motor skills, and emotional regulation.
